ꢀꢀUsethePYLEPROSpeakerSelectorsonlywithamplifiersratedatꢀ100wattsperꢀ  
channelorless.  
ꢀꢀYourPYLEPROSpeakerSelectorisdesignedtoacceptanysizecableuptoꢀ14gaugeꢀ  
non-terminatedspeakerwire.Ifyou’reusingnon-terminatedspeakerwire,donotuseꢀ  
anyspeakerwirethatislargerthanꢀ14gauge.Thelowerthegaugenumber,thelargerꢀ  
thecable(e.g.,ꢀ12gaugeislargerinactualphysicalsizethanꢀ14gauge).  
ꢀꢀDonothooktheoutputsofoneselectorintotheinputsofanotherspeakerselectorꢀ  
together.  
MAKINGTHECONNECTIONS  
Thecontrolcenterdividesthepowerfromyourreceiver/amplifierdifferentlytoitsꢀ  
speakerterminals.(Thisisespeciallynoticeablewhenyouconnectonlyonepairofꢀ  
speakers.Ifyouconnectmorethanonepairofspeakers,see“ImpedanceChart”onꢀ  
page5toselectorthebestterminalstoconnect.)Forthebestperformance,maketheꢀ  
connectionsbasedonhowfrequentlyyouuseeachsetofspeakers.  
Cautions:Toavoiddamagingyourspeakersorreceiver/amplifier:  
ꢀꢀBesureyourreceiver/amplifier’spoweristurnedoffbeforeyoumaketheconnections.  
ꢀꢀNeverletthespeakerwire’sbareendstoucheachotherortheadjacentterminalsontheꢀ  
controlcenter.  
ꢀꢀDonotconnectmorethanonepairofsepakerstoeachsetofterminals.

PressopenthedesiredSPKterminalsonthecontrolcenter.Insertthespeakers’positiveꢀ  
(+)wiresinthepositive(red)terminals,andnegative( )wiresintothenagative(black)ꢀ  
-
terminals,accordingtotherespectiveL(left)andR(right)terminals.Thenpressthetabsꢀ  
toclosethem.  
PressopentheAMPterminalsonthecontrolcenter,theninsertyourreceiver/amplifier’sꢀ  
positive(+)wiresintothepositive(red)terminals,andnegative(-)wiresinthenagativeꢀ  
terminals.Thenpressthetabstoclosethem.

Notes:  
ꢀꢀIfyourreceiver/amplifierhasmorethanonesetofspeakerterminal(AandB),connectꢀ  
onlyoneortheothertothecontrolcenter.  
ꢀꢀForthebestresults,werecommendꢀ14-gauge,twoconductorspeakerwire(notꢀ  
supplied)formostconnections.Ifyouplantolocatedthespeakersfurtherthan80feetꢀ  
fromthecontrolcenter,useaheaviergaugeofwire.  
OPERATION  
Caution:Toavoiddamagingyourreceiver/amplifier,setitsvolumetothelowestsettingꢀ  
beforechangingthecontrolcenter’ssettings.  
Toturnonapairofspeakersconnectedtothecontrolcenter,simplypressinthedesiredꢀ  
button.Forexample,toturnonthesetofspeakersconnectedtoSPKA,pressA.  
Toturnoffapairofspeakers,pressthebuttonagainsoitisinthe“out”position.  
Note:ifnospeakersareconnectedtoasetofterminals,donotpressinthecorrespondingꢀ  
controlbutton.

IMPEDANCECHART  
Impedanceisameasurementoftheloadplacedonyourreceiver/amplifierbytheꢀ  
speakers.Theloadplacedonyourreceiver/amplifierfromthtecontrolcenterwillꢀ  
varydependingonhowmanypairsofspeakersyouturnonatonetime,andonwhichꢀ  
speakersyouturnon.Thechartbelowshowstheimpedanceforallpossiblecombinationsꢀ  
of8-ohmspeakers.
